The sand man comes to send me to sleep

He blessed me with sweet dreams of you

He told me I would smile if I just believe

If I just think of you, you will be there

Though I am so tired you’re sweet face I see

There in my bed while I go to sleep

The sandman sings soft melodies

Songs from a time so long ago

Tunes that remind me of places so far away

Songs that brought you to me that very day

I fell in love that very day 

Sandman let me come to lie in my bed

Let dreams of my beautiful lady dance in my head

Come let sleep engulf me and make me safe

Sandman come and take my troubles away

Take my fears and give to me my wish tonight

Bring to my tired body the rest so needed

Thank you sandman for the dreams of her

It was a beautiful dream at last

I slept so well tonight after all

Thank you for the peace and tranquil night

It was a blessed time I spent with her
